Our marine offering is designed to cover a broad spectrum of maritime risks from hull and machinery, cargo, war and specie. We can deploy our AUD10 million line size in most territories, with a strong focus on building lasting relationships and broker service through empowered underwriting.

Our Appetite

Our clients range from small and medium sized businesses through to the largest multinational companies. In partnership with brokers and coverholders we aim to develop close relationships with our clients to fully understand their business and add value with our experience and ideas.

Hull

In a leadership, or follow capacity, a wide range of risks from bluewater tankers to brownwater barges and offshore support vessels, we cover physical loss or damage to marine vessels across deep sea, coastal, and inland operations.

Our appetite also covers super yachts, additional interests, and war. We are currently not focussing on builders risks, and certain types of volatile vessels, such as fast ferries and livestock carriers.

Cargo

In a following capacity, medium sized general cargo business and smaller commercial business, through trusted MGAs and lead partners.

We are not looking to write cars, pre-launch, stand-alone stock, commodity traders or global programmes.

Specie

In a following capacity, jewellers’ block, general specie, including vault risks, storage, gold, fine art and personal collections, again through trusted MGA’s and lead partners.

We are generally not looking to write CIT.
